The inaugural exhibition introduces 125 PROJECTS as a platform committed to the process of future-making, one that critically examines the past and the present as a means of shaping what lies ahead. The title is lifted from the slogan used by the late English musician David Bowie in promoting his 1977 album Heroes; and drawing from the late cultural theorist Mark Fisher, the exhibition reflects on his argument concerning the slow cancellation of the future—a condition of cultural stagnation in which notions of progress, innovation, and futurity have gradually eroded. Fisher contended that this crisis is not merely aesthetic but profoundly political. Our collective inability to imagine alternatives to the existing system constrains our capacity to envision a different future. The recovery of futurity is essential to any emancipatory politics, as we remain locked within a fatalistic sense of inevitability inherited from dominant structures. In response, this exhibition calls for a movement beyond this haze, advocating for an active reclamation of agency in reshaping the future. 

Situated firmly in the present moment, Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it calling asserts that there is strength in the belief that our generation can formulate alternatives beyond what has already been predicted. Emerging at a time when the world once again stands at a crossroads, marked by increasing uncertainty and volatility, the presentation seeks to offer courage through a collective voice—one that warrants and tenders solidarity.
